The Power Of Partnerships
Everything we have in life is because of the help of other people. If you have a successful job where you are rapidly moving up it is in large part because of the help you've received from your coworkers. If you have successful and harmonious relationships it is in part because of the other person. If you own a successful and growing business it is in part because of your employees and the relationships you've developed with other businesses associates.
Even with the help of the best people you cannot get to your destination if your don't have a map of how to get there. So take the time to make a detailed, practical, and workable plan of action.
Conduct a realistic assessment of your strengths and weaknesses to determine what you are best at, what you enjoy doing, what you are not so good at doing, and even what you hate doing. Spend a few days making this list if have to, and above all, be honest with yourself.
Look for partners and associates who share your basic values and commitment to a common goal and who's interest lie in the area where you most need assistance. It doesn't matter what age or field your potential partners are in, as long as there is good chemistry between you. What matters the most is that they have a positive mental attitude and are optimistic about themselves, their lives, and their future.
In Napoleon Hill's classic book, Think and Grow Rich, Hill talks about his Mastermind Principle. When you connect and bring together a force of likeminded people with differing points of view and skills, they combine to give you an incredible power, and boost to propel you towards your objective. When two or more people work together toward a common goal the result can be awe inspiring.
Make a list of people you like and admire, and who have the same positive attitude you do. Approach several of them to begin forming an alliance. This will take some time to form the right group of people but it will be well worth the effort.
